How this tool works, and what it is not. It applies the ordinary statutory periods to the dates you type in. It does not know your file, your applicant category, which amendment governs your application, whether an extension was taken, or whether the office has issued anything. Several periods changed with the Patents (Amendment) Rules, 2024 and transitional positions apply to earlier filings. Treat every result as an orientation, never as a diary entry, and have any date that matters confirmed by a patent professional against the Rules in force.
