Rule numbers

10Period within which proof of the right under section 7(2) to make the application shall be furnishedRule 10 fixes the time within which an applicant who is not the inventor must file proof of the right to apply for the patent.
11Order of recording applicationsRule 11 requires applications to be numbered and recorded in the order in which they are received at the appropriate office.
12Statement and undertaking regarding foreign applicationsRule 12 sets the form and timing for the statement and undertaking about corresponding patent applications filed outside India.
13SpecificationsRule 13 sets out how specifications must be presented, including the form to use, drawings, numbering and treatment of international applications.
14Amendments to specificationsRule 14 sets out how an amendment to a specification or drawing must be physically presented to the Patent Office.
15DrawingsRule 15 sets the size, layout and drafting standards that drawings must meet when filed with an Indian patent application.
