88Register of patents under section 67Places the register of patents under the Controller's control and allows it to be kept in electronic form with proper safeguards.
89Omitted OmittedThis rule has been omitted from the Patents Rules 2003 and no longer applies.
90Registration of title and interest in patentsSets out how an assignee, licensee or other interest holder applies on Form 16 to have their title or interest entered in the register.
91Presentation of assignment, etc., of patent to ControllerRequires the original assignment, licence or other document to be produced to the Controller with a copy, so title can be verified.
92Registration of title or interest in a patentTells the Controller what to enter in the register once satisfied about an applicant's title or interest, and to notify the applicant.
93Entry of renewal feeRequires the payment of each renewal fee to be entered in the register, so the public can see that a patent is still in force.
94Alteration of addressLets a patentee or applicant have a name, address or address for service corrected or updated in patent office records and the register.
95Inspection of register of patents under section 72 and fees payable thereforOpens the register of patents to public inspection and allows certified copies of entries on payment of the prescribed fee.
